Our team are highly qualified and experienced at Second Steps. Staff access regular training opportunities and are actively encouraged to continue with their professional development.

All staff will be DBS checked and employed on their suitability to work with children .Staff that are newly employed by us and have not been through these checks will not be left unattended with the children.
Our practitioners are required to hold a formal qualification. Our nursery assistant’s must have some child care knowledge and be willing to train in order to gain a formal qualification.
Students: Second Steps believe it is essential that all potential child care workers gain knowledge through practical experience and because of this we accept students from Colleges and Schools in the local area.
